I balked at the idea of paying 20 bucks for this app at first. Recently, my mother moved to a very rural area. She ordered a 200 channel package from a sat tv company. Installer comes out, slaps up the dish, and she can only get 6 channels-and marginally at best- he tells her to be glad for that, it was the only spot for signal. I went over with this app, and lo and behold, I found THREE spots to get both satellites she needed. I moved the dish and reset the elevation according to the app, and I got over three times the signal he got, and she now gets all her channels clearly, all the time!! Thanks for this app- it worked just as it says, and it really is cool to see where those satellites are in the sky! Its worth the money, thats for sure!

Gee lets see here. I have been an installer for over 6 years. Recently my inclometer broke. I had a choice, pay another 150 bucks for a new one or pay 20 bucks for this app. Ill never buy another inclometer again. In fact I have three other techs that are buying this app also and getting rid of there old inclometers. Thanks guys. This is the best app ever.

the programas are not necessary for reliable satellite . it not work and not precicion , the programs referente utility and not profecional app , only used entertainment and game use

This is one of the best app ever. Its worth every penny.

Its not perfect , but then what is. Not suunto inclinometer either. This will suffice to determine Los as it is supposed to be 10 degrees anyway... Lol. It is wonderful tool to show my argumentive customer when they dont have a Los. As they cant read an inclinometer anyway. This saves time arguing with the customer as they can see for themselves. Excellent app. Keep the suunto too. Worth every penny.

This app is a must have for satellite installers that have the iPhone 3gs. Has saved myself lots of time in those siyuations where line of site os questionable. And for those that have to justify canceled jobs to management, it is a time and money saver for yourself and your company as a whole. The days of setting up a temporary mount to determine LOS are over for me. I still use my inclinometer for thosr days when it is raining outside.

This app does show where the sattelites are but without the compass of the 3gs it is not as helpful as it could be. As I said for 3GS only

As an IT Manager on a cruise ship, this app is perfect for checking signal blockage, been looking for something like this!

downloaded the program does not give any reliable data using an iPhone 3G

Its OK if your an installer or an uplink engineer, all you need is to know where south is. If you dont know that much then get out of the business. This us not worth the $20.00 I spent. Maybe $2.00

A must have in our line of work. Stops verification of NLOS issues. Also show that customer who cant see what we see that the tree IS in the way ! WORTH THE MONEY TO STOP THE HEADACHE

I had a little trouble just trying to figure out how it works or whether I was holding the iPhone correctly but I stumbled through it and I moved the satellite to the correct spot and I was able to get a signal. I was unable to get a signal from my previous spot. The satellite never appeared on the line so not sure exactly how it is supposed to work but the application did help me find a spot where I was able to get a signal.

Warning for the iPhone 3GS on 3.1.3 the update renders the application useless it just goes back to the main screen. Tried update, and uninstall then reinstall niether one would work, I had to pull my backup copy of 2.0 out and reinstall it to get the app working again.

Works like its suppose to and is accurate.

Needed a quick tool to use after Sunco C&I was broken. This app works great with or without cell coverage on my 3GS. Provides a simple visual representation to find look angles for satellite signal accurately. Worth the money!!

I had heard about this program from a trainer while in training. The most difficult part about the program is presetting the list of available satellites to the ones you only wish to see. In lehmans terms, its a very user friendly interface for a newby or seasoned installer. Ive had the program lock up twice in four months of using, which makes it extremely reliable, considering how much I use it. I can count on one hand the times Ive had to use my inclinometer along with this program. Customers LOVE feeling like theyre a part of the installation process, as well. Buy It......Recommend It.....Enjoy It!!

It works very well, but they need to add the feature so you can take a picture of what your looking at thru the phone so if necessary you can show the customer the LOS problem

Disappointed. Wish you i could hold my iphone horizontal and have the picture shift. Tough to use otherwise.

I like the app. but there needs to be more Info on how to use the app.
